There is SO much to do. Base yourself at Poets Corner Lodge central to so many locations. We are at the gateway to the Coromandel , Top of the Bay of Plenty. An hour15 to Hamilton, 45 minutes to Tauranga and Mount Maunganui with Katikati, the Mural town, on the way. Matamata with Hobbitville only an hour away.
2-5 days A wide variety of walks or for the serious trampers there are more challenging hikes. These can be guided or you can freedom walk Transport can be arranged We will provide the packed lunch, collect you at the end of the day and take you back to the luxury of Poets Corner Lodge where you can have a spa and relax Meals provided. Homunga to Waihi Beach A 10km walk around the coast passing Orakawa Bay with its magnificent Pohutakawa and ending at the beach.

The area is steeped in mining history

walk in the Kaimai Ranges and visit the giant Kauri.
The daily rate for these walks, unguided ranges from $270 per person a day This includes luxury accommodation, three meals and transport to and from the tracks For guided walks, check the Kiwi Dundee web site www.kiwidundee.co.nz.
We can make a program to suit all levels of fitness and length of stay. Get a group of friends together up to 4 couples 8 twin share.
2-4 days of golf at a different course each day ranging from small country courses to international standard. There are 6 courses all within an hours drive, so you wont be bored. Clubs can be hired at most courses. We will organise your lunches and have you back at the end of the day, to the luxury of Poets Corner Lodge Where your meals will be organised for you.
The daily rate per person is from $340 a day This includes Accommodation, three meals a day, transport and green fees. Maximum of 8 people twin share, or four couples.

Get a group of friends together and come and discover the colourful history of our mining town Take a mine tour, visit the museum. Visit the Cornish Pump house, Waihi’s famous landmark,which has been moved to its new site at the top of the main street. We can organise a garden ramble or visit to local artists and the Art Market Swim at our local hot pools or the magnificent Waihi Beach. Accommodation is $350 per room per night, this includes breakfast.

Learn about our farming methods New Zealanders are world leaders. Talk to a farmer and watch cows being milked. Visit a sheep and beef farm where you could see a dog working stock or maybe a sheep being shorn. Or visit a kiwi fruit orchard and learn about our clean green industry
Curl up by the fire and read a book or watch a DVD. You can sit in the sun on the terrace and listen to the soothing sound of distant surf on the bay and the native birds in the bush close by. |
